It may seem surprising but being bounced around on a variety of different forms of transport turned out to be very therapeutic for the back. Those therapies included tuk-tuk around the backstreets of Delhi to reach the best markets and through Jodhpur to reach the parts other forms of transport could not reach. It also included camel rides, camel carts, bicycle rickshaws, and of course the bus. The latter had plenty of accommodation for the group and managed to get to places buses should not really try to go. Along the way we saw an abundance of wildlife and got the benefits of Pete's experience, knowledge and expertise to improve our photographic skills. Everything was an adventure with as much packed into each day as was possible and accompanied by great local guides and excellent Indian food. The trip highlight was undoubtedly the record number of tiger sightings in Ranthambore National Park, some of which were about as close as you would want to get to a tiger. We know a lot more than we did about India now, including how to choose a good camel.

Our trip to the Pantanal, Brazil, to watch jaguars hunting, fishing, swimming and stalking prey on their turf was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Several of the jaguars were only about 50 feet away and we would watch and follow them in our boat for an hour or more. We also saw a lot of other wildlife and many birds. This was a very unique experience which we will never forget.

Look - I've been on lots of wildlife and photographic trips and I've been to the Pantanal before but this was special. Not only was it a great group of people but we saw so much wildlife and at close quarters. It was FUN. Pete knows his stuff and enthusiastically pointed out animals. He included everyone and made everyone in the group feel special. The accommodation was good and the food too. Now to the wildlife - Jaguars every day and lots of jaguar behaviour. Wonderful. Then the giant otters and lots of otter behaviour. Marvellous ocelot and tapir not to mention the myriad birds of which I could never remember all the names! The photo opportunities were legend and I came back with over 6000 pics! Some are even good! Very well organised, in spite of 4.30am waking on many occasions! Most of all it was a fun trip with lots of laughter. Thank you so much.

I am a tropical biologist who worked extensively in the American tropics, especially in lowland wet forests in lower Central America and on tepuis in Venezuela. Our trip with Pete Oxford to the Pantanal was the BEST wildlife experience of my career (including the Okavango Delta of Botswana). I saw new "life list" species, but the best parts of the trip were the repeated, long encounters with wildlife species. Pete was the perfect guide who has deep knowledge of the natural history of the ecosystem and her denizens. The group was great and the experience was rejuvenating on many levels. I look forward to my next POE tour. In the meanwhile I can scan my photos, look at my husband's photos, and we can relive some of those moments of wonderment. Just got back from an amazing and fabulous trip to the Pantanal and Iguazu Falls. We saw Jaguars on all our trips out on the rivers by boat and other wildlife including river otter, tapirs, capybara, ocelot and various bird species. Pete has a genuine passion for wildlife and a vast knowledge of the area. This is the first time I have travelled with Pete and the trip was well organise and I can't wait to travelled again on another trip.
