We have just returned from the most awesome trip to Svalbard. Amazing scenery & wildlife seen whilst cruising on the boat. (8 polar bears, Walrus, amazing birdcliffs, balugas, blue whales, ice and dog sledding) Pete & Renee are excellent tour leaders and we learnt so much about this country 78 degrees north. For me it’s about experiencing places that few others have. Guyana was truly a country of natural wonders and friendly people. Just to see a pristine, untouched rainforest was extraordinary. Kaieteur Falls, Giant Anteaters, Harpy Eagles, Giant River Otters, Arapaima, Howler Monkeys are just a few…. Traveling with Pete makes you feel much more than a tourist. Guyana was truly a back-to-nature destination full of rare, amazing and diverse flora, fauna and landscapes and an enlightened, friendly, happy and hospitable local population. Despite the challenges and hardships of traveling along unpaved roads and shallow rivers, and staying in eco-lodges with no internet, email, cell phones or hot showers, we are glad to have seen and experienced the wonders of Guyana and learned from the insight and expertise of Pete Oxford.

We just finished an unbelievable two-week trip to the Galapagos with Pete and Renee; I cannot imagine better people to go with. Their enthusiasm and passion for the islands, wildlife, and conservation is unparalleled, and their years guiding here mean they know these islands better than anyone. We were first on/last off the islands every day (meaning we generally had them to ourselves), and had the time to truly immerse ourselves in the experience. Both Pete and Renee went above and beyond in every instance, making sure all the details were perfect and doing everything they could to add to the experience: constantly on the alert while on board to spot whales, ocean sunfish, swordfish, and dolphins; taking us on a superb hike around a volcano rim; offering so many fascinating details and information about the wildlife and plants we were seeing. They also dealt so well with our young kids, were flexible about needs, and made the trip fun for all.

I cant imagine a better coordinated, orchestrated and executed Galapagos adventure than the one Pete & Renee just led our family on this past December.
