So much has been said and written about the Galapagos but for us what made this trip was travellling with Pete and Renee. This was the first time we had been with them and not only were they great company they have the ability to share so much of what they know. I still remember the hours spent just watching animals and birds and developing a patience not only to photograph but to just simply see and be in the moment.

Botswana was the second trip we did with Pete and Renee and it was out of this world. The sightings of leopard, wild dogs, lion - there is not enough room to list all we saw but we certainly returned home knowing we'd been incrediblely fortunate to be with two guides who knew where to go and how to find all that is the rare and beautiful in the wild. Everywhere we went was special in its own way and I will never forget sitting in our jeep surrounded by a herd of female elephants complete with young who fell asleep only metres from us. Perhaps the only thing to top this is the uniqueness of the Okavango delta. This defies description and should be a must for anyone lucky enough to travel.
The love Pete and Renee have for the wild and all that it contains pours out of them and they share what they know so willingly.

Well let me tell you about the passionate part! In 2015 I went to Indonesia with Pete & Renee.  We spent 5-6 hours a day in the water with the whale sharks. Stopped for lunch, one hour or so, and back into the water until dinner time. Pete is a driven man! We couldn't get enough!  And it shows in his photography.

This is the trip I was on,(Zaphara's Dance News 7/2015)  and everything all comes back, even the pic when a whale shark who had followed us back to the schooner was almost vertical just under the waterline, looking up behind the "The Damai", Pete was taking the pic, and I was behind him just watching this scenario!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure with you but mostly the time we spent with you and Renee. Thanks again for your gracious hospitality, dinner and, of course, the use of your laundry room . . . you guys are great.

We did, by the way, climb Waynapicchu . . . we're so proud of ourselves at our age. Probably wouldn't have done it without your encouragement. Peru was incredible . . . currently in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. Quite a contrast to Sacha Lodge.

Our paths are sure to cross again and we hope sooner than later.
